ARENA OF STARS, RESORTS WORLD GENTING

Taiwanese multiple Golden Melody Award winner, Ricky Hsiao, together with Jess Lee Kar Wei, first Malaysian singer to win in the popular TV singing competition known as “One Million star” in Taiwan, originally intended to come to Malaysia to sing. But due to the pandemic, the initial concert can only be temporarily postponed. Now, with the lifting of Malaysia’s ban, event organiser MIC entertainment has confirmed and announced that the concert will continue to proceed on the 3rd of September 2022 at Arena of Stars, Malaysia.

The two singers hope to heal and soothe the audiences’ heart with their melodious voice; thus, this concert has been themed as “Story Singers”. Despite his visual disability, male Taiwanese singer and songwriter, Ricky Hsiao, has received multiple Golden Melody Awards, including Best Taiwanese Male Singer and Best Taiwanese Album. He has become more than an inspiring idol to the blind community. One of his classic famous songs to date would be “You Are My Eyes”. Through this song, he described his feelings as a blind man and mentions that if he is not blind, maybe his life will be totally different from now. This year, he was nominated for the 33rd Golden Melody Award as the Best Taiwanese Male Singer. Malaysia’s pride, Jess Lee, is a finalist and grand winner of the popular televised singing competition “One Million Star” (7th season) in Taiwan. She is the first Malaysian to win in the competition and broke the record of scoring the highest mark four times consecutively in the final round. One of her popular songs would be “Suffering”. In this song, she entered with low vocal to extremely high vocal, describing a broken-hearted woman suffering in a relationship. Recently, she has released a new song “Light” following her return in the industry. 

The “Story Singers” concert consisting of Ricky Hsiao and Jess Lee will be hosted by MIC entertainment at Arena of Star, on the 3rd of September 2022.
